Come be a part of something special
SPFC offers a variety of volunteer opportunities! Some opportunities require a minimum commitment of time, and some require licensing (Health Center and Dental Center). Whatever your availability and interests, we can likely find a great match for you. As a St. Pete Free Clinic Volunteer, you will be making an immediate impact in YOUR community.
Most of our opportunities fall between 8 am and 7 pm, Monday through Friday. We currently have opportunities in our food and health programs. Click on the links below to see further details on the volunteer opportunities in those programs.

SPFC does not offer court-ordered/arbitration/diversion community service hours at this time.
Things to consider
- Some adult volunteers must undergo a background check before volunteering. A conviction on your record does not necessarily disqualify you from volunteering.
- Volunteers aged 16 and older are welcome in our food programs. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by a vetted adult volunteer.
- Health and Dental Center volunteers must be 18 years or older.
- While the Free Clinic is following all guidelines and best practices to keep our volunteers, clients, and staff safe and healthy, we want to emphasize that when you choose to volunteer, you are accepting some risk due to the COVID-19 health crisis. In many of our volunteer positions, you may interact with multiple clients per shift.
