SNAP Benefits:
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), otherwise known as Food Stamps, is a federal food assistance program that is distributed by the Department of Children and Families. To apply for food assistance, Medicaid, and/or cash assistance, or to manage your benefits and receive information, visit: https://www.myflorida.com/accessflorida/
As of August 1, SNAP eligibility and benefits amounts will be based on household size, household gross income and expenses paid.
DCF has launched a pilot program for SNAP recipients to purchase groceries online. If you are already receiving benefits, you do not need to apply. On April 21, both Walmart and Amazon will offer these services statewide.
