Individual Volunteering
SPFC offers a variety of volunteer opportunities! Some opportunities require a minimum commitment of time, and some require licensing (Health Center and Dental Center). Whatever your availability and interests, we can likely find a great match for you. Most of our opportunities fall between 8 am and 7 pm, Monday through Friday.
Register for Orientation
The first step in becoming a volunteer is to attend an SPFC Volunteer Orientation. SPFC Volunteer Orientation provides the opportunity to learn more about SPFC’s mission, values, and the programs that serve our neighbors throughout Pinellas County. Orientation also provides an overview of our volunteer opportunities, a chance to meet other volunteers, and to answer any questions you may have to help you feel confident and prepared before your first shift. Choose an orientation session below to register.
**We do not accept court ordered/arbitration/diversion community service hours.
Things to Consider:
- Some adult volunteers must undergo a background check before volunteering. A conviction on your record does not necessarily disqualify you from volunteering.
- Volunteers aged 16 and older are welcome in our food programs. Limited volunteer opportunities for those under the age of 16.
- Health and Dental Center volunteers must be 18 years or older.
Group Volunteering
Volunteering together is more than a day of service; it’s an opportunity to connect, give back, and be part of something bigger than yourself. Whether you’re looking for a team-building experience or simply want to make a positive impact, your group can help pack meal kits, sort through donations, or take on a special project that directly supports our neighbors in need. We’d love to host your group and help create a meaningful volunteer experience.
