Health is a catalyst for equity.

With compassion and respect, St. Pete Free Clinic changes lives by providing health care, nutritious food, recovery housing, and education for our neighbors in need.

Our Programs

Food Programs

Over 20M pounds of food were distributed in 2024

Established in 1980 as the second food bank in Florida, SPFC’s Jared S. Hechtkopf Community Food Bank distributes produce, fresh meat, dairy, and shelf-stable food to partners throughout Pinellas County, including SPFC’s We Help FRESH food pantry. The We Help FRESH food pantry provides nutritious food for an average of 40,000 individuals per month.

Health Center

Thousands of patient services provided per month

Established in 1970, SPFC’s Health Center offers access to quality healthcare for individuals who lack health insurance and meet other income requirements. Our patients can receive primary care, a range of specialty care services, dental care, and no-cost prescription medications.

Recovery & Housing

Providing housing, hope, and healing

The Virginia and David Baldwin Women’s Residence and SPFC Men’s Residence provide safe transitional housing where those who are experiencing homelessness and recovering from substance use can gain stability in their recovery while obtaining and maintaining employment, saving money and rebuilding relationships.

Additional Services

Education. Navigation. Connection.

We provide a range of educational programs, as well as navigation to other community services individualized for each person’s needs. Additionally, we provide help in securing IDs and birth certificates, provide bill pay assistance, and offer transportation support.
