South St. Pete getting more healthy food options

The city and St. Pete Free Clinic teamed up to start the Fresh Pace Healthy Neighborhood Store Program. The program brings healthier options and recipes to six stores in low income areas of St. Petersburg.

Recognizing the need to address homelessness in the community, the St Petersburg Downtown Partnership convened a “leadership lunch” Wednesday at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital to explore innovative solutions for supporting St. Petersburg’s unhoused population.
Several families in need were able to put food on the table thanks to local organizations who partnered together.
